Situated on gently south-sloping Skagit River-front acreage,
this site has been extensively landscaped with native and native-blending species.
The new owners of the property enjoy getting their hands dirty in the yard and needed
more storage space for their tools, tractor, RV, and general puttering.
The tractor shed was sited to tuck in to the trees alongside the driveway, keeping the existing main house and guest
house the visual focus of the property. The shed uses materials and styles similar to the existing buildings to give
the property a consistent look.
Corrugated metal siding recalls Skagit Valley's rural vernacular, its metallic olive color and horizontal application
giving it punch. The cement board siding is painted to match the stained wood siding of the existing buildings.
Glass overhead doors and full-height window walls bring warmth and light into the large, open interior space,
making this a great place to work.
